A New Kitchen Gadget

I had one of these years ago from a garage sale.  Silly me, I left it outside; it rusted.  Now it’s a handy garden trash bin.  I was browsing my local grocery story and found this brand new one complete with a handy canning guide and some nifty tools.

I’ve used the canner a couple of times and I really love it.  It’s nice to have a piece of equipment dedicated to the purpose for which it is designed.  Batches of Chow Chow, Apple Butter and Fig Preserves have been processed successfully in this old fashioned, yet newly acquired canner.

I love the fact that it is large enough to hold many jars, cleans up nicely and the tools can be stored inside when not being used.  As a hint: turn the top upside down and you have a flat surface to store additional items on.  I am always looking for ways to increase my kitchen and pantry storage space.  If you are in need of a new canner, Check your local grocery, home goods or big box stores for this or a similar product.  I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to many years of canning success.
