28 Shades of Red – Valentine Knit Cup Cozy

Red has always been one of my favorite colors.  The array of hues from Pale Pink to Scarlet Red to Deep Violet is woven throughout the seasons, foods and fashions in everyday life.  This month in celebration of Love –  I’m presenting a collection of items in various shades of this luscious color.  They will include crafts, food, home decor, jewelery and healthy living.  Some will come from my personal contributions, others from what I have gleaned from other sources – with proper credit given, where known and possible. First up is this cute little quick to knit cup cozy.  I wanted a simple project that I could complete in a few hours to experience a sense of accomplishment.  Using a link from All Free Knitting, I found this pattern from Setting for Four just in time for Valentines Day.  It would also be a great Mother’s Day or birthday gift for a special friend – or even yourself.

I used a soft Baby Wool in a soft pink color and tapped my craft box for the felt, thread and button.  After a few hours my Cup Cozy is beginning to take shape.

It’s finished and I feel such a sense of accomplishment.  My schedule and needlework interest lean towards small projects and accessories so this was a great place to start.  I have several more ideas for this month, so stay tuned. Do you knit, crochet, sew, quilt or do any other handcrafts?  Would you like to be included in my #28ShadesOfRed collection with links to your website, blog or other social media platforms?  Drop me an email or post me up using the buttons on this page.  Let’s stitch and share together!
